A nearly stationary frontal boundary to our north continues to be a focal point for showers – as disturbances move along it, one after the other, showers move through the Northeast, one round after another. But while these showers have been clustered and large, the northern position of the front through Central New England has left us out of the path of most of the showers – just a few isolated pop-up showers have affected us, and that will continue to be the case. Our best threat for rainfall comes late Saturday Night into Sunday with a stronger cold front – this front, in additional to bringing the rain, will bring temperatures way down through the day Sunday with cooler air lingering into next week – no extensions on that cooldown.
