Premium Weather Update July 8, 2026

A quieter day is in store today as showers push well south of the region and a dry, seasonable air mass spreads across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Tomorrow, a wave of low pressure lifting along the stalled frontal boundary to our south, combined with an approaching cold front from the west, will bring another round of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Those showers may linger into Friday before the front finally clears the region. Behind it, a more stable air mass settles in, bringing quieter weather through the weekend and into early next week.
