Premium Weather Update October 9, 2026

Happy Friday! Surface high pressure across the region keeps us settled through Sunday morning. Clouds increase through tomorrow night out ahead of some light rain that is ours Sunday afternoon through early Monday morning. Our rain is from what is left of Hurricane Isaias. Up to an inch of rain is forecasted with no high winds expected. A rumble or two of thunder can’t be ruled out Sunday night through the predawn hours Monday. Once this batch of rain clears the region to the east; a new ridge of surface high pressure builds in from our southwest with a cold front moving through from southern Canada Tuesday night offering showers. No big weather events on the horizon and or extreme temperatures. – Joe Sciacca
