Premium Weather Update May 1, 2026

Good afternoon! Surface high pressure across the region today provides a mainly sunny sky as well as seasonable temperatures. Clouds increase through tonight as some energy moves out of the Ohio Valley offering a passing showers early tomorrow morning through the day tomorrow out ahead of a coastal storm passing by well to our south & east through the day Sunday. Once this storm clears to the northeast Sunday; a new ridge of surface high pressure builds in from the Ohio Valley offering dry conditions through mid-week with a gusty breeze Sunday & Monday gusting up to 35 mph. Tuesday & Wednesday look to be the mildest days next week. A cold front moves through from the Great Lakes Wednesday night through Thursday with showers Wednesday into Thursday & cooler temperatures to follow for the end of next week.
