Premium Weather Update September 11, 2026

Good day! Surface high pressure across the region keeps unsettled today & tomorrow. A pocket of energy moving through from the Ohio Valley tomorrow night through Sunday morning offers rain with the potential for locally heavy rainfall. The southern Hudson Valley through eastern Long Island & south coastal southern New England has the greatest risk of locally heavy rainfall of 2-4″. Some thunderstorms below severe limits are also likely in the mix. Once this system clears to the east Sunday evening; surface high pressure builds in from the Great Lakes offering settled conditions for the first part of next week. -Joe Sciacca
