Premium Weather Update April 22, 2026

A few leftover showers will taper off today as a storm system pulls away, with some gradual clearing later on. The weekend trends cooler and mostly gray, with more clouds than sun and temperatures slipping below average This cooler pattern will remain in place right through next week, with a few systems passing through, bringing occasional rounds of rain, so umbrellas will be getting a bit of a workout. By late next week, a more active storm track sets up, and this could bring a period of heavier rain and gusty winds across New York and Connecticut as we head into the first weekend of May. Even though it’s cool, it’s finally safe to put away the snow boots – just in time to make room for the rain boots!
